Midsund

Cairns and Border
Findings of cairns and settlement sites indicate early habitation of the islands. In Bjørneremshelleren, discoveries suggest this was the first settlement in Romsdal.
From 1658-1660, the national border between Sweden and Denmark-Norway crossed Midøya, and here you can stay at the Riksgrensen Hammock Park.
