Nesflaten
Nesflaten is a village in Suldal municipality in Ryfylke. It is situated on the northern shore of Suldalsvatnet lake. The Norwegian Scenic Route Ryfylke, Rv. 13, passes through the village.
Nesflaten consists of 80 spread-out houses. There is a grocery shop, restaurant, hotel, chapel, school and daycare centre.
Nesflaten is home to Energihotellet and the offices of Hydro’s hydroelectric facilities in Røldal-Suldal. Those facilities were built in the 1960s and designed by Geir Grung.
The architect also designed the functionalist residential area that was established at the same time.
Nesflaten is a natural stop along the Norwegian Scenic Route Ryfylke or as part of the Architectural Route Sand-Røldal-Sauda.
