This summer you can experience BateLodge, a unique experience over 2 days in Kongeparken. Surrounded by the park's beautiful nature and attractions, you and your family live comfortably in one of ten new cottage tents in BateLodge equipped with a bedroom, living room, bathroom and private balcony. Everything is arranged for Norway's Coolest Holiday in the new BateLodge.

The Troll oil and gas field is reconstructed in an authentic and colourful landscape, that can be used for activities such as skating, climbing, beach volleyball, graffiti art, performances, concerts, dance and classes given by the Norwegian Petroleum Museum.

The fairytale forest at Gramstad is a popular place for children and adults in all kinds of weather. Small shelters have been built so that you can eat your packed lunch and remain dry if the weather is not on your side.

Stavanger botanic garden lies to the west of Ullandhaug tower, with fine views over Jæren, Hafrsfjord and the North Sea. The garden has a southerly aspect, sheltered from the east by the forest of Sørmarka and from the south by Stavanger University.

Rægestranden beach is a nice little beach next to Sola beach.

Gausel fritidsgård is a visitor farm with animals that is open to the public all day. It is free to visit the farm.

Ølberstranden is a great little sandy beach where it is nice to swim and sunbathe in the summer and great to hike the rest of the year. Some claim that you can get the very best soft ice cream in the Stavanger area here.

The arboretum is a large collection of both common and unusual bushes and trees from all over the world, and the whole area covers an area of 173 acres.
