The Jæren beaches
Feistein lighthouse is situated on an island two kilometres west of the Sele marina. It was in use for the first time in 1859. The buildings that remain today; the lighthouse tower, lighthouse keeper's residence, the annexe and the boatshed are all preserved as cultural heritage buildings.

Egersund
Egersund Fayancemuseum conveys the history of Egersunds Fayancefabrik (1847-1979). The factory made a variety of products from clay, such as cups and vessels, vases, and ornaments. If you and your family want to make something out of clay, you can book the activity "Play with clay".

At Sirdal Mountain Museum a collection of buildings and artefacts from Sirdal is presented, where the oldest building is from the 1770s.

Ruins of a fortress. The fortress is mentioned in Snorre's saga literature, assumably, the Viking king Kjotve the rich sought refuge there after losing the battle against Harald Fairhair at Hafrsfjord.

The Veveriet was built to house weaving looms, that were driven by power from the river next to it. It is an important building in the town's textile heritage. Today the building is a cultural centre, housing the town's library, and culture facilities. It is also the local tourist information point.

The Jæren beaches
Jærstrendene (the beaches of Jæren) stretches from Tungenes in the north to Sirevåg in the south with a total length of 70 kilometres. You'll find a mixture of sand beaches, pebble beaches and a moraine coast.
