Mountain hikes and walks
Stavanger
Join Explore Lysefjorden on a unique Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) adventure. The guided hike starts at twilight and you arrive the iconic rock formation in time to catch the sun rising over the famous Lysefjord in Ryfylke.
Cycling
Egersund
This nice round trip is suitable for families as there are cycling trails in most of the places. From the centre of Egersund, follow FV44 to Tengs. Here, you can stop for a round of mini golf or ice cream at Kosen. At the intersection of Jærveien and Tengsareidveien, turn to the right and then follow the first exit on the right onto Vingårdsveien.
Cycling
Egersund
A nice bike trip for the whole family.
Cycling
Sandnes
This route is possibly one of the country's nicest commuters routes, it is almost completely flat, and goes parallel to the railroad partly along the ocean. The route goes through green areas, forest areas where there are plenty of places to stop, along beaches, swimming spots and playgrounds.
Water sport and kayaking
Jørpeland
Join Fjord Expedition on a guided kayak tour in beautiful scenery and calm waters around Jørpeland. The tour suits everyone, no kayaking experience needed.
Cycling
Sandnes
The bike route from Lurastø is relatively easy, it partly follows the shoreline, and partly it goes through forests, green areas and parks. It is a peaceful and safe alternative to Gamleveien, west of the railroad tracks.
Cycling
Magma UNESCO Global Geopark
Welcome to Flekkefjordbanen and our rail biking trips! This is a perfect activity, whether you are visiting with your family, a group of friends, or are ready for a teambuilding day with your colleagues.
Cycling
Egersund
Cycling along the Nordsjøveien from Egersund to Hellvik is a wonderful trip, which spans 12 kilometres on a well-prepared hiking/gravel road. There are many great checkpoints and picnic areas along the way. If it's too long to ride back and forth, a great alternative is to turn around by Maurholen (an old train station with waffle sales in the summer and a beautiful outdoor area) or take the train one way.
Cycling
The Jæren beaches
Jærruta is a refreshing and contrasting adventure on the edge of Norway. Set off on an electric bike with good friends along the beautiful Jæren beaches in magical light with compelling experiences on all sides.
Cycling
